Question by Anna: Does anyone know of any real legitimate work from home internet jobs?
I’m looking for any legitimate work from home jobs such as testing or playing video games, taking calls, typing, etc. I am not looking for any scams, get rich quick schemes, or make $ $ $ in one hours. Just some real honest work that I can do from home without having to leave my baby because I am a stay at home mother of 3. Just looking for something extra to do with some extra income. I’m open to anything…legal and legit. Thank you in advance!

Blogging. It’s become quite the income source. Unfortunately, it’s not one of those things that you just start making huge amounts of money for. Start your own website and blog about whatever you want to blog about. Advertise some on the site (ads and such). If you are any good at it you may wind up being a contributor for a larger magazine/newspaper/etc.

It used to be that blogging was a hobby, but there are people who are full-time bloggers and live pretty comfortably.

Also, if you have any current hobbies that you are decent at (knitting, crocheting, woodworking, etc) you can start selling things on Etsy.com. It’s basically a retail store for people who want to sell their craft items.

Not that I know of. I know lots of people who work from home, but they don’t do data entry. If you live near a university, you could place ads that you will type papers.

Zero (0). I know better than to fall for those scams. There is no free money. The only people who insist this is possible are people who profit from convincing suckers they can make money from home. As P.T. Barnum put it, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”

Question by : Work from home jobs for moms?
Hi, I am pregnant with our first child and I would really love to be a stay at home mom but I don’t think we can afford it. Are there any work from home jobs that do not require a degree? I do have a photography degree but don’t know any online jobs that would work with that. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

wahm.com use to be an excellent resource. They seem to be getting more commercialized now (and harder to navigate) but still worth looking around. – They also have (or had) some good advice on avoiding scams.

From what I have seen, you would be most likely to get something that involves “customer support” or cold-calling people and trying to sell them something. I did this for a discount card company. (try to talk people into paying the company $ 18/month for a card that will get them a discount on prescription meds and dr visits.) It didn’t work out. I wasn’t pushy enough to meet my quota and some of the people I called were really rude.

A few places I heard were legit appear to have gone out of business last year. But westaff is still there. ( westaff.com ) I think they do customer support.

I also know a lady who does phone sex. The pay is decent – but you have to be a certain kind of person to get by in that world.

I know a lady who makes a living transcribing doctor notes to patient files. You have to know a lot of physician terminology though.

I would think it would be tedious and boring. There are lots of better ways to make money for stay at home parents!
Are you good at crafts? Interested in buying and selling on the internet (not ebay necessarily)
